Superior Electrical Insulation

Designed for insulation purposes, NEMA G7 / SIGC 202 sheets feature a dense epoxy glass fabric structure with resin coating, providing high dielectric strength and minimal water absorption. These characteristics make them suitable for continuous operation at temperatures up to 130C in electrical components such as transformers and switchgears.

Versatile and Customizable Design

Offered in shapes, sizes, and thicknesses tailored to your project, these sheets are suitable for a wide range of electrical insulation applications. The smooth finished surface and customizable dimensions ensure easy integration into various assemblies, making them a favored choice for manufacturers and suppliers across India.

FAQs of Nema G7/ SIGC 202:

Q: How are NEMA G7 / SIGC 202 sheets typically used in electrical applications?

A: These sheets are primarily employed for insulation in transformers, switchgears, control panels, and other electrical components, where their high dielectric strength and low thermal conductivity protect sensitive circuits and maintain safety.

Q: What benefits does the self-extinguishing property provide?

A: The self-extinguishing flame resistance reduces fire hazards, ensuring that the material halts combustion when exposed to heat, thereby enhancing the safety of electrical equipment in case of an incident.

Q: When should I choose NEMA G7 / SIGC 202 sheets over other insulation materials?

A: Select NEMA G7 / SIGC 202 sheets when you require superior dielectric performance, high mechanical strength, low moisture absorption, and flame resistance in applications like transformer insulation or control panel construction.

Q: Where can customized NEMA G7 / SIGC 202 sheets be sourced in India?

A: Manufacturers, exporters, importers, and suppliers across India offer these sheets in customized dimensions. They cater to specific requirements for various electrical and industrial uses, ensuring compliance with NEMA G7 and SIGC 202 standards.

Q: What is the process of manufacturing these insulation sheets?

A: NEMA G7 / SIGC 202 sheets are produced using a laminated pressing technique, where layers of pure white epoxy glass fabric are resin coated and compressed to create a smooth, robust, and mechanically strong sheet.

Q: What is the advantage of low water absorption in insulation materials?

A: Low water absorption (<0.1%) ensures the sheets retain their insulating properties even in humid environments, minimizing the risk of short circuits or degradation in electrical systems.
